Adaptability is the new black.

With the world changing at the fastest rate ever and with disruptors reshaping every industry on the planet (and beyond), no one can afford to stagnate.

From the beginning of time, it has been about survival of the fittest, but there’s more.

Success in life and work is about our abilities to envision and create ways to increase our personal and professional value in the market and those that are best at doing that, (think Apple, Amazon, Netflix) win.

Currently, how and what disrupts in your life? Are you adapting quickly enough for the pace the world is going at?

My wish for us all is that we will be able to position ourselves as leaders in 2030, but that requires us to take action now and act whilst others are distracted, in order for us to be the most experienced and knowledgeable when it counts.

There are six ways we can begin to do this and these are what insures our future. Technology has great promise to revolutionise our professional lives, BUT, 2020 has proven that tech hasn’t come far enough to overtake humans and their connection.

We therefore have a head start, and it’s up to us to meet this moment by adapting to change and positioning ourselves as thought leaders, and this is where adaptability comes in.

The six best ways to be more adaptable are:

  1. Clarity
  2. Research
  3. Welcome New Careers
  4. Connection
  5. Create Shortcuts and Solutions
  6. Self – Management

For a more in depth explanation of these steps, listen the podcast, it’s a time investment well made – I promise.

I’ll definitely be sharing more on this in the coming weeks, so stay tuned, because we’re stepping up together.
